We have been busy preparing for Subcon Exhibition that is now just one week away. Subcon, which is the UKs only event dedicated to contract and subcontract manufacturing, is taking place next week between the 2nd - 4th June at the NEC. We will be exhibiting on Stand S22 alongside the nations leading machining, moulding, finishing, treatments & testing, casting & forging, fabrication and electronics assembly companies.

While our main message to visitors and exhibitors is to adopt innovative recruitment methods in order to secure new talent in 2015 (see our previous blog for more details), we will also have David Powers, contracting expert and Aftersales Manager at Jonathan Lee Recruitment, available on Tuesday 2nd June to answer any questions you may have regarding contracting. Contracting has become an increasingly popular way of working and it is not surprising when widespread skill shortages, rapidly changing market conditions and the many benefits of becoming or utilising a contracted worker are considered. However, it is not without its risks and it is important that contracting is managed effectively and professionally for the benefit of both sides.
